Welcome to the Clare White Gallery - the north’s leading specialist in quality Cornish art. We are based in the village of Elsecar, in Barnsley, South Yorkshire and sell a wide range of original paintings, prints, ceramics, textiles and jewellery – predominantly produced in the south west. As well as hosting regular temporary exhibitions, our collection of paintings always features an eclectic mix of naive, abstract and figurative pictures. We are also the primary outlet for the work of acclaimed St Ives water colourist Clare White (1903 -1997) and the gallery is named in her honour.

Terry Frost screen prints - exhibition throughout summer
The Clare White gallery launched its exhibition of limited-edition signed screenprints by Sir Terry Frost RA (1915-2003) on July 2nd. Recycle Your Jeans - Saturday July 31st
Would you like to get crafty with an old pair of denims? This one-day workshop, lead by textile artist Roberta Balmforth, will enable you to turn your old jeans into a little bag, a beautiful corsage and a hanging heart. Only basic sewing skills needed. The cost of the workshop is £35 including a light lunch. Places are very limited, so please e-mail info@clarewhitegallery.co.uk for more details.
